Sailing themes and America’s Cup

Pierre Frey Panarea Wellington Design Library

In design much inspiration comes from the activities that surround us and in turn design also inspires emotion.

At WDL we think these designs mirror the hope and excitment surrounding America’s Cup – whether you like the billowy sails, the swaying ocean or perhaps those strapping lads at the helm, we hope, like all great design, they’ll strike a chord with you!

Designs of the Time

Last week, Leah and Blair from James Dunlop gave a fantastic presentation, at the Wellington Design Library, of the new Designs of the Time range.

It’s a well-travelled collection taking inspiration from Africa, Scandinavia, and the Orient. Take a nomadic journey with Bohemian-Chic style and a little bit of Gipsy love.

The many patterns and materials define the rhythm of the collection, offering a glimpse of faraway lands.

Look at the gorgeous patterns and such fabulous colourways!

Artisan Leather

Mankind has used animal hides since the Paleolithic age. It still looks and feels luxurious in contemporary interiors today.

Warwick Fabrics have just introduced the Thomas Maxwell Artisan Leathers to its extensive furnishing fabrics range. The leather is strong, with rich colour and beautiful grain that will be stunning in any interior space.

Thomas Maxwell Leathers are Bovine Cattle hides, of premium European selection, tanned and drum dyed in Italy. The range consists of ‘Le Monde’ lightly buffed, pigmented and embossed, ‘Lavelle’ lightly buffed and finished with oils and natural waxes and ‘London Club’ lightly buffed and finished with a vintage waxed pull up effect.

We have individual hangers for you take away, enjoy, and share with your clients.

Take a look at the gorgeous range of colour and texture!

Imagination and Happiness

Bring a playful pop of colour, a little bit of imagination, and a lot of happiness and delight to every child’s room!

We have some wonderful new additions to our children’s ranges from Harlequin, Unique Fabrics, and Jane Churchill for Atelier Textiles. These give a bright pop and a sparkle of life when paired with solid colour or textured fabrics such as the smooth velvets by James Dunlop.

We love the new kid’s collection ‘All About Me!’

Quilted Pieces

Trending are Quilted pieces and it’s popular throughout the design world used with furniture through to haute couture to hunting gear. We like the idea of combining the motif in luxurious velvet for many interior design applications.
